## What it is

Kola Code is a **phone-first mobile development environment (MDE / DevTool)**. It is a mobile IDE for reading and writing code in your language (including African languages such as Yorùbá, Hausa, Igbo, Swahili, Wolof, isiZulu, and more), designing screens with UI blocks, and learning as you build. It is not an EdTech course marketplace. It is mobile-first and offline-first, designed for the phone people already own.

Blocks and templates come first. AI assist is optional.
